Launch and Purpose: The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications launched the Digital Community of Cambodia to facilitate networking, knowledge sharing, and expansion of digital expertise in the country.
Key Figure and Date: Chea Vandeth, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, presided over the launch on Sept. 27 at the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology.
Role and Importance: The digital community will play a crucial role in Cambodia’s digital technology human resource development, supporting both national and international growth.
Alignment with Policies: The initiative aligns with the Cambodian Digital Government Policy 2022–2035 and contributes to the Pentagonal Strategy Phase I of the Royal Government.
Government Support and Job Matching: The community will assist the government in identifying, supplying, and engaging digital professionals for various sectors, including promoting digital government. It will also connect qualified candidates, particularly for private sector jobs.
Education and Skill Development: Educational institutions will be supported to enhance students’ digital knowledge, experience, and skills through this community.
